From student essay read today, "Throughout Australia's history, the primary language of this country has been English."

    Gah! Barely! I wanted to add a snarky comment asking whether it was that he thought tens of thousands of years of Aboriginal history didn't count as "history", or whether hundreds of Aboriginal languages didn't count as "languages", but I restrained myself and simply wrote, "Not true!"
