I had the same reaction! While I really understand people taking a break from blogging, I have this selfish impulse to say, "But how will I know how you're doing?! It's not fair!" :)

Me too, post-doc. It's completely irrational of me, but when a blogger I love to read stops, I feel lost and betrayed.
I miss her as well -- it kind of makes me worry when a blogger I read all the time goes dark--New Kid -- we miss you!
