Zackly what I was going to say - I love the profile. You'll just have to stand around looking at interesting things off in the distance when you talk to people, to show off.
Thanks everyone! Brazen Hussy: you should do it anyway. Geekman was kind of unimpressed, but as I tell him, it'll grow out.
EA: that's pretty much what it is about. I am practising looking older and more professional for the whole lecturing gig I'm about to start :)
Geeka, yes, and I keep going to scoop my hair out of the way when I bend forward to brush my teeth, or to drink soup, or anything like that, but all that happens is I hit myself in the back of the neck!
I just cut off 11.5 inches of hair this week to donate to Locks of Love, so I know how different it feels to not have hair where you expect it. Like you said, it will grow back, and I figure a little bald kid has better use for my hair than I do at the moment.
Ooh, lovely! It will be quicker to dry, too, always an advantage when things get busy.
Incidentally, did you know that if you squint at a pixelated picture you can almost see what's behind the pixelating? (Spell check says I'm spelling those wrong. Are they actual words?) The Man taught me that when we were watching interview with criminals on Japanese TV. I think he actually learned it from trying to figure out pixelated pornographic pictures on Japanese TV, but he won't admit it.
You are right, Badaunt. I had noticed that before too. I don't know why I bothered pixelating them, really. I mean, what difference does it make? These pics will go poof sometime in the next few days anyway.
i like it - especially the side view

ReplyDeleteOooh, I love it! I've always wanted hair that short, but whenever I bring it up, Arbitrista starts whining and moaning and looking tragic.
ReplyDeleteReally cute!!!
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw it, I thought: Great summer haircut, but then I realized, duh, it's winter there. So, great winter haircut! :)
Brazen - Arbitrista should give the short hair a chance. -- I'm sure he will still think you're a hottie!
How very posh spice of you! :)
ReplyDeleteI love it, and think the length is abspolutely perfect and very flattering!
Oh! So cute! Well, and all professional like too. You must be ready to finish your dissertation or something.

ReplyDeleteooh, so cute! i've recently been wanting a short cut like that, but i am too scared!
ReplyDeleteIt looks GREAT. So different, though. What did Geekman say?
ReplyDeleteFrom his expression when he saw it, you'd have thought I had suffered a serious injury. He tried to be polite, but his face said different.
ReplyDeleteStupid men and their stupid long hair fetishes :)
