Best present of all:
My mother made these lovely pillowcases out of material left over from my wedding dress with pieces of the lace that covered the arms appliquéed on top:
I've been finding this TV show equal parts cringe-inducing and hilarious. I finally gave in and added it to my mental list of guilty pleasures:
Proof that someone has been paying attention to my new-found obsession with handmade pasta:
And finally, the obligatory 'what were you thinking?' present from the in-laws:
Loot! An excellent year for it.

Excellent haul this year :)
Did you ever hear the radio series "Choice Bro TAFE"? It was pretty stupidly funny, too.
No, I didn't. If I search the internet from top to bottom do you think I'll find it lurking somewhere?
Maybe. I did a quick search and couldn't find it. It's on the Merrick and Rosso Choice Cuts CD, though.
I'm wondering if it would still be funny now, or just stupid...
Those pillowcases are gorgeous!
I love it too, Anastasia. The only problem is that it doesn't look like it will last long. Geekman bought it online, and it is made out of really really thin cotton which I predict will go into holes within weeks, and it isn't finished properly around the seams which are already fraying. It's so sad, because I really really like it.
(The company that makes them promises money back if you aren't satisfied, but the shipping cost more than the t-shirt, so sending it back would cost even more. Plus, I don't really want to send it back anyway. Sigh.)
With respect to the T-shirt, I have screen printing gear, and it's probably about time I got around to making up some screens for T-shirts I like. May be able to throw one in for you too.
WV, that would be awesome!
Are you coming out this way for New Year, by the way? A little bird told me you were...
Sorry, WV, I had to remove that comment since it contained the name of this city. (I know, I'm paranoid).
It's great that you are coming here, though. We'll have to have a New Year's Eve party!
Yeah, realised that after posting it, and then got trapped in a recursive oldblogger/newblogger/google signin page as I tried to remove it and you'd already done so...
Yeah, they have a lot of that loopy stuff happening. It irritates me no end.
love the t-shirt and the pillowcases.
Talk to me! (You know you want to!)
