A full time, tenure-track job. I interviewed last week. They said they'd contact me by tomorrow.
Oh my.
Update: the selection committee is "having trouble coming to a decision", so they won't be able to let me know until later in the week. That's good, right? (Or at least, it's not bad.)

By stalking the department website (as one does), I discovered they had a department planning retreat yesterday, so I'm pretty sure they would have made a decision then. But it was an all-day event, so they wouldn't have communicated that decision to HR until today. And the HR person handling this job doesn't work Fridays. So I don't think I'll hear until Monday now. (Which coincidentally is also when the National grants results are announced for this year. A race I also have a horse in. Monday is either going to be awesome, stressful, or incredibly disappointing. Maybe even all three.)
