Dear Student,
Turning up to your (early) exam with a box of chocolates for the lecturer, and then complimenting her on her outfit is just a little too obvious.
I appreciate your effort, but you need to work on subtlety.
I'll enjoy the chocolates, though.
Love and low grades,
StyleyGeek.

*Jealousy*
I never got chocolates from any of my students. Must be why I left academia. At least mining companies give me free beer relatively often.
Just a little.
I did have one of my students bring his new puppy to class becuase he know how much I love puppies.
I don't think there's anything wrong with that, Seeking Solace. It's if he did it on the day of the exam that you might be suspicious :)
I would NEVER bring food to class on exam day. Everybody knows that food should be brought the class preceding the exam, so that the professor has time to make up a nice easy extra credit question just for the person who brought the donuts.
And always bring enough for the whole class so that it doesn't look so kiss-ass.
Wow. That's an approach really lacking in subtlety. And they obviously thought you were cheap (unless it was a reaaaaally big box).
Talk to me! (You know you want to!)
