I do something similar! If I see something (in the real world) and it looks wrong, I frown and think someone should have photoshopped it right out. It's probably not a good sign of how my brain works.

Post-doc, I'm so glad I'm not the only one!
I am also very sad each time I see a gorgeous girl in the street and I cannot shrug it off and say "bah, she's been airbrushed".
Have you ever try to look for the time at the upper right corner (or wherever your computer clock is located) of the magazine / journal / newspaper you are reading?
(I have not. But apparently some people do. I think it is rather scary.)
