Not hard for a New Zealander to guess...and to not spoil the surprise I'll just tell you the first letters: either you went to places just around R, or perhaps to a place like W-o-T sort of between R and T.

Ooh, when I took The Man there (or somewhere like it) he said he felt like he was on some other, weird planet. He was REALLY IMPRESSED.
(The bit I liked (being a weird bird lady) was seeing the sparrows sitting on rocks, warming their bottoms.)
Incidentally, how long are you there for? Will you be in Wellington for the festival? I'll be there in the second week . . .
Yes, there was much talk of moonscapes and black holes in our party too.
Unfortunately we aren't going anywhere near Wellington this trip. The only family I still have there (periodically) is my brother, and he is currently in a "living in Melbourne" phase.
Next stop for us is Christchurch, and then Arthur's Pass to be bridesmaid at a pagan wedding in a paddock.

I'm a Wellington fan, in case you hadn't noticed.
Also, I'll be spending a couple of weeks based in boring old Auckland. Bloody family. (Although I have to admit that having family in Wellington would give me very mixed feelings about the place, so perhaps it's better this way.)

Ahh, but it's north island, which makes it infinitely less cool than the south (which I feel highly justified in saying, being from Invercargill myself)
