I used to have one of those birds (actually it was my Dad - I never approved). It was stark raving insane.
Never enough parrots!
I find it hard to imagine that a cockatoo in captivity could ever be anything other than insane. They seem to love being in large flocks, flying so high up you can hardly see them, sitting in the tallest trees, and being incredibly destructive, so I can't imagine they would make very good pets. Plus they are LOUD.
