I pass this painted box most days. I think the hedgehog is meant to be sitting on a flower, but that is totally not what I see.

God, thank you. Living in the inner north I passed that every day, too, and always thought the same thing. "Who approved this painting?!"
I'm kind of more disturbed by this box itself, and the phallic hedgehog "flower" only adds to the creep factor. What is inside this box? What is its purpose? And how does its contents and/or purpose relate to a hedgehog surrounded by gag-inducing purple and pink? I get an anxiety-inducing "Jack-in-the-Box" vibe from this thing... like some freak in a hedgehog costume is going to jump out and flail a hatchet or something.
Don't worry: I'm already in therapy.
