Dear all,
For security reasons we are cataloging all weapons. Please advise if you keep knives, guns, blowtorches, explosives or similar in your offices.

I have colleagues who keep arsenals in their basements. Literally, arsenals.
And lots of camo in bright orange in their closets. Weird world!
LOL!!!!!
If that were my school, I guess I would have to log in my red pen of death!
Guns and explosives I get, but surely they don't mean you have to come clean about the emergency shiv taped underneath your desk.
so how much did you tell them about?
Heh, just be glad Weekend Viking doesn't work in your building :-D
Hmmm. Should I report the butterknife?
What about the deadly stack of student papers?
...There goes the miniature trebuchet...
I never kept anything of that sort in my various offices, due to not needing to, as in any given geology dept or mining company we aways had a plentiful supply of A)rocks B)Rockhammers and C)Laboratories full of interesting and disturbing stuff to make improvised explosives and weapons out of. (Only in the event of Zombie Apocalypse, of course. mind you, one has to test things occasionally)
All the good stuff, I keep at home.
I especially like the thought of profs hoarding blowtorches in their offices. You never know when you're going to need that can of aerosol hairspray and a blowtorch to improvise a flamethrower.
What!?? That just seems insane. Why do they even allow weapons? lol
Talk to me! (You know you want to!)
