Brisbane by night

Walking beside the river last night (after an unsuccessful attempt to find an internet cafe).

The view on the other side soothed most of my internet withdrawal symptoms.

But it didn't help much with the shakes.

should I tell you where to find an internet cafe, or will that make the pretty pictures stop? :) You probably don't need it anymore, anyway, I suppose.

Tell me! Tell me!

(I don't need it right now, since I've found the state library. But I might need it tomorrow, since I'll be out all day until the library is shut).

I only know ones on the other side of the river, but it's not a bad walk across the bridge. Assuming they haven't gone out of business, there's one on adelaide st (if you've been taking a bus to uq, it's pretty much right at the 412 bus stop (on the non-city hall side, near the george st/river end - you should walk along george st and see the cute mechanical kangaroos, too (between queen and adelaide sts)) and I think there was one at that end of the queen st mall, too, next to valley girl maybe.
I just realised they're not exactly cafes, as such; they cater more to the "spend all night gaming" crowd... I can't think of anywhere that would actually be pleasant to hang out for a while, sorry.

That's cool. I didn't end up going whale watching today after all, since the weather forecast was bad and they cancelled. So I'm in the library again.

But I'm going to have a wander over the bridge and find the mechanical kangaroos later on!
