Lessons learned

  1. Cycling very fast in the dark when you have no night vision is a bad idea.
  2. Doing so while drunk is worse.
  3. Cycling on the footpath is a good idea until it turns out someone has left a tree branch lying across it.
  4. Flying over your handlebars is kind of fun.
  5. Until you hit the ground.
  6. And you should let go.
  7. Of the handlebars.
  8. Otherwise your bicycle cartwheels through the air as well and lands on top of you.
  9. You don't injure very seriously when preserved in alcohol.
  10. But things in the bag on your back do.

The things in your bag were preserved in alcohol?

Glad you're okay, Styley! Try not to repeat this particular lesson, okay?

Ouch!!

I'm glad you are ok -- I'm guessing that is a lesson you only have to learn once :).

Cycling downhill while drunk is awesome though. Don't let this one incident put you off!

You should NOT bike while drunk! :) Take care of yourself Styley!

Sheesh! I hope you weren't hurting too badly once the preservation wore off!

Ouch! I hope you really are okay. That's frightening (Mr. QWP nearly died, as a child, by falling on his bike in the cartwheeling manner.)

Yes, I won't be doing that again in a hurry.

And juggling frogs, let me diagram that sentence for you... There is some extraposition involved.
