The photocopier just asked me politely to wait please, it was replenishing its toner. Then it whirred a lot for a minute or two, and told me I could go ahead.
It's kind of creepy when machines can do their own maintenance.

I don't like it when the machine tells you (politely) that it is not appropriate to photocopy money, and refuses to do it.
Of course, I'm sure you were planning to use it for educational purposes...
How did the machine know it was money, anyway? That IS spooky.
