Portrait of the artist as a young rosella

(Why do they always sidle away from me? If I'm a threat, then fly! If I'm not, stay put and let me take photos. What's with the half measures?)

Perhaps they're just indecisive?

"ooooh, she might not look threatening, but that nasty little girl with the blonde ringlets last week didn't either..."

Or perhaps they're perverse creatures?

"If she wants me to fly off, I shall refuse! But maybe she wants to get close... well, I shan't let her!"

Or perhaps your presence is often accompanied by a strong desire, in the rosella's, to find out what that bit of grass over there is like?

Oh, he's pretty. Please get close enough to give him a big kiss on the head!

I think I have to start taking my camera to my university, to start taking photos of the campus bunnies. Because we have a significant population of tame rabbits, only on our campus.

I think rosellas always have a strong desire to find out what nearby bits of grass are like.

And Q of WP -- I want to see your bunnies! (In a purely platonic sense)
