We censused last night, along with (I suspect) most of the rest of the country. I love filling out census forms. It's like a multiple choice test where I know all the answers! Plus, it makes me feel like I'm important in someone's grand scheme.
I think there's a person in our house who needs to work on his question interpretation skills, though:
In the box for "ethnic heritage", Geekman wrote "human".

I love the answer for "ethnic heritage"! LOL!!!
That's awesome.
I don't know crap about Australia but I knew about the census because of this silly little webcomic I always read. Someone else loves the census:

I've said it before, I'll say it again: the geekman, he funny.
Though concomitantly, I can't but help feel sorry for the people who have to enter his data and have to enter a -9 (or 99) for missing data. That always sucks.
Heh, heh. When I had to fill out surveys in Germany that asked for ethnic heritage (which was rarely, for obvious reasons), I always used to take a leaf out of our own census and write "NZ Pakeha", knowing the poor German evaluating the survey would have a lot of head-scratching to do.
Nice one, Jana :)
I think Geekman's problem was partly (aside from philosophical objections) that they only allowed you to tick two boxes, or, if writing it in, you were supposed to write only two heritages, max. His doesn't work that way.
Dr BH: that is a very cool comic. I spent hours yesterday reading through the archives. Thanks!
Talk to me! (You know you want to!)
